Then I called DaVinci Partners and everything changed completely. I met with proprietor Vince Calcagno. Mr. Calcagno started by explaining a few things to me from the start. I learned about the varieties and quality levels of different types of asphalt shingles. He discussed the various materials and techniques used for underlayments. He talked about renailing the roof deck and using valley pans instead of interweaving shingles. He showed how to improve attic circulation by converting the tiny roof vents to substantial ridge vents. Mr. Calcagno's goal was clear: to provide me the very best available roof within my needs and budget as well as the education to truly appreciate my decision.
